  • 1 green cabbage
  • 1 onion
  • 1 carrot
  • 400g minced meat (beef or pork)
  • 100g cooked rice
  • 400g canned crushed tomatoes
  • 500ml chicken broth
  • Fresh herbs (thyme, bay leaf)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Remove the outer leaves from the cabbage. Boil salted water in a large pot and blanch the cabbage for about 5 minutes until softened. Drain and let cool.
  2. In a bowl, mix minced meat, cooked rice, chopped onion, grated carrot, salt, pepper, and herbs.
  3. Take a blanched cabbage leaf, place a spoonful of filling on it, and roll it tightly while tucking in the sides.
  4. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Arrange the stuffed cabbages in a baking dish. Pour crushed tomatoes and chicken broth around them. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for about 45 minutes.
