- 200g (about 1 ¾ cups) raw hazelnuts
- 100g (about 1/2 cup) powdered sugar
- 30g (about 2 tablespoons) unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
- 100ml (about 1/3 cup + 1 tablespoon) vegetable oil (such as sunflower or canola)
- 100g (about 1/2 cup) dark chocolate (70% cocoa), finely chopped (optional, for a richer taste)
- 50ml (about 3 tablespoons + 1 teaspoon) milk (dairy or non-dairy, as needed for consistency)
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Spread the hazelnuts on a baking sheet and roast for about 10 minutes, or until they are golden and fragrant. Watch them closely to avoid burning.
- Let the hazelnuts cool for a few minutes, then place them in a powerful blender. Blend on low speed for 2 to 3 minutes until you achieve a smooth paste. Stop the blender to scrape down the sides if necessary.
- Add the powdered sugar, cocoa powder, vanilla extract, and salt to the blender. Blend again for 1 to 2 minutes until the mixture is homogeneous.
- With the blender running, slowly incorporate the vegetable oil. This will help achieve a creamy texture. If the paste is too thick, add a little milk to adjust the consistency.
- If you choose to use dark chocolate, incorporate it now. Blend for another minute to fully combine. You can also add a bit more milk if needed.
- Stop the blender and taste your hazelnut spread. Adjust the sugar or cocoa if you want a sweeter or more chocolatey flavor. Blend again if you add any ingredients.
- Pour the Express Hazelnut Spread into an airtight jar. Let it cool completely before sealing the lid to avoid condensation. You can enjoy it immediately or store it in the refrigerator.

Keywords: Avoid over-blending as it can heat the hazelnuts and alter the flavor. Use a powerful blender or food processor to achieve the perfect texture. Adjust the amount of chocolate or sugar according to your preferences.
