  • 1 lb Toulouse sausage

Instructions

  1. Rinse the white beans and soak them in water for at least 12 hours.
  2. In a cast iron pot, brown the Toulouse sausage and pork shoulder over medium heat. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same pot, sauté minced garlic and diced onion until translucent.
  4. Add soaked beans, browned meat, chicken broth, and thyme to the pot. Season to taste.
  5. Preheat oven to 320°F (160°C). Cover the pot with a lid or foil and bake for about 2 hours.
  6. Uncover during the last 30 minutes to allow the top to brown. Sprinkle breadcrumbs before baking until golden.
